The only thing stronger than my love for Saabs,  old ones especially, is my aversion to their running costs.

I listen to it almost every day, and I find myself wondering why so many people feel that NPR, the official radio station of people who love old Saabs, part of the liberal media. Certainly NPR has, at times, exhibited bias on both ends of the spectrum. But it can’t be lumped in with the likes of MSNBC or Fox.

What say you Oppo? Is NPR for left wing commies or just enthusiasts of old Swedish iron?

If NPR was for commies, they wouldn’t drive cars built by capitalism

NPR is pretty solid, but my go-to news radio is the BBC World Service. That and Coast-to-Coast AM, for an entirely different reason.

It’s nowhere near as bad as MSNBC or CNN, but they were definitely on the Hilldawg Express riding first-class along with the other networks during the Primaries, though I guess it might have to do with the donor demographics of NPR.

I will give them credit for making some attempt at real journalism  unlike the rest of MSM.

Umm, maybe not a popular obsevation, but...

to their credit NPR puts *lots* of effort into careful, methodical, conscientious, journalism, but — they are left of left, so much so that they don’t even seem aware of it themselves — I guess that can happen when you’re so far on the left that even the center is no longer within eyesight.

Personally agreeing with the poster who wrote that BBC is a great way to hear what’s actually going on Stateside.

Maybe liking cars is cuz you still have a pulse, no matter what’s in the Press? ;-)

Kind regards,

taz

Apparently you aren’t paying attention to the news. It’s time to retire the “email server” business now that members of the Trump administration are using private mail servers . Similarly, you’ll have to stop complaning about the Federal deficit, now that Republicans are going to blow it up to unheard-of levels to finance another tax cut for millionaires . But don’t worry, as soon as there’s a Democratic administration, you can start posturing like you care about email servers and the Federal deficit again.
